Celebrate Fall By Getting the Most Out of Your Fall Wardrobe! (and By Going to the Fair)

I love fall. Not just because you can feel change in the air, but because there are so many more clothing options and your clothes become so much more versatile. Also, there are so many more activities that you can do in said clothes, because it’s not crazy humid and hot out anymore(my SC people know this is true)!

This includes one of my favorite yearly events: the South Carolina State Fair! I went not once, but twice—just to make sure I got everything in! I tried all of my favorite fair foods, thin crispy fries, hot pizza, fried Oreos, and lemonade! I’m not a huge ride person, I prefer just walking around and taking in all of the exhibits. The one ride I always go on though is the Ferris wheel. Below are some of the highlights from my two days!

Of course, this blog post would not be complete without some style or design tips. (on a budget!) The best way to live a stylish life on a budget is by making your wardrobe last. This can be done by investing in versatile pieces, and also by finding an item that you can focus many different outfits around! Below are two of my looks from the fair this year that have that mentality in mind. One is beautiful dark wash flare jeans, a tied up floral top, and chestnut peep toe booties with a 1970’s inspired free people vintage bag! This first look can be easily worn into the cooler weeks of fall if you add a fun corduroy jacket to the ensemble.
Shop both looks using the below linked photos!

The second outfit is an easy breezy dress from (yall know I’m about to say it) vestique! I love that this can be worn into the chillier weeks of October and early November if you pair it with a warm jean jacket and booties! I also love styling this dress for fun casual activities (like going to the fair) but it can also be worn to the office, (shoutout to my 9-5 gals) just switch out the jean jacket for a cardigan and the booties for a nice pair of flats!
I hope this quick little blog helped give yall some fun #ootd inspo for all of the fun fall activities your planning! I also hope this showed yall my love of the SC State Fair, it truly is such a happy fun place, and always lets me know that fall is finally here!! If you didn’t get to go to the SC state Fair, it’s going to be in Charleston this upcoming week, so you still have time! If you’re not from SC or live outside the US let me know in the comments what your favorite fall traditions are or what your favorite fair or festival is during this time of year!
