The hidden gem that is the Dollar Tree

I know what youre thinking, how is the girl about to write a blog about how great the dollar tree is?

Just wait, im going to prove it to ya. Y'all have been sleeping on dollar tree.

the dollar tree is a great place to shop whether you are looking to save money or not! This is because regardless of your paycheck, who wants to pay more for the same exact product that you could get for only a buck.

having said that, here is my list of things to always check for at your local dollar tree before shelling out cash for products of similar value! while most of the items on this list are not exorbitantly expensive at other stores, it still adds up! This is why i love dollar tree, because the money i save can go to things like shoes, fun experiences, or happy hour (yall know i love these things)

#1 cleaning supplies:

dollar tree carries many of the same brands that you already use to clean with everyday! dial soap, dish detergent, laundry detergent, and other cleaning supplies that all have effectively the same ingredients that you'd pay much more for elsewhere. I also loving getting things like replacement dustpans and brooms from the dollar tree. After all, a broom is pretty much the same thing everywhere, right?

#2 Small kitchen items:

obviously dollar tree is not going to carry top of the line kitchen equipment. However, for people in college or people who do not cook alot, dollar tree items are perfect for you! I pick up all of my cutlery, mugs, bowls, plates, and dish towels from the dollar tree (I get a lot of complements on them too!) They are not the highest quality, but they look great and work just as well As other comparable brands. I also pick up things like reynolds wrap, plastic sandwich bags, and other stapels from dollar tree as well.

#3: school supplies and other random household items:

Dollar tree carries tons of school supplies! A notebook is the same pretty much everywhere and dollar tree has a surprising selection to choose from!

I also always pick up my batteries and other random household items like lightbulbs from here as well. What alot of people dont realize is that overstock goes to dollar tree. you are literally buying the same product being sold at walmart, oftentimes.

#4: small home decor items:

its always fun to hack dollar tree items and turn them into something beautiful! often, though, i never have to do a thing to them because they are so cute on their own. Below is a picture of a small shelf makeover i did using just dollar tree items!

There are a few things i do not recommend purchasing from dollar tree like cosmetic and other beauty supplies. I also don't recommend any kind of grocery shopping from dollar tree because food is often about to become expired. However, for household and utilitarian items, dollar tree is great!!
