How to buy the right shoes, every time! (on a budget)

If anyone knows me, they know i am obsessed with shoes. shoes are my kryptonite, if you will.
so, of course when belk announced one of there many amazing clearance sales, y'all know i was there! on the blog today im showing how versatile a good pair of shoes should be, and how you can find the perfect pair!
below are just two of the many ways i plan to wear these sandals for the last few weeks of warm weather here in the carolina's!

(the necklace is from a local columbia, sc jeweler, i purchased it at soda city and for the life of me cannot remember the name of the designer!)
i hope you love both of these very simple, comfortable, stylish looks! they certainly emulate what i love about southern style. i love that these bright shoes add so much color and interest to the look!

now for some advice from one shoe lover to another: finding the perfect pair
every good shoe addict knows that shoes should only truly be purchased if you can

picture yourself wearing an outfit in them! (my general rule is at least 2 outfits)
another piece of advice: wait for the sales! if you really love a shoe, waiting is always a dangerous game to play. however, if you love saving money, like me, often waiting for the shoes to go on sale not only ensures that in a few weeks time you still love the item, it also gets you a better price for the thing you've been dying for!
with that being said:
after years of shopping shoe sales, ive established some pretty handy tricks to finding your perfect pair of shoes. on the other hand, ive also learned how to say no to that 3rd or 4th pair that you just. dont. need. (even though its a really good deal!)
this pair is 5 stars in my book!
i hope this inspires you the next time you go shopping! it helps to envision yourself wearing the shoes, and if you cant, save those hard earned dollars for another pair!
