I finally got the fun and relaxing vacation i so badly needed this past week at lake sinclair! it was so much fun spending time with friends and family. Though I love the lake, I definitely and a Beach kinda girl. However, I think this vacation may have begun to sway me!
lake sinclair near the town of Milledgevill, Georgia, truly surprised me. It was beautiful! Every morning a thick fog would descend on the lake after sunrise. After the fog lifted we would all go spend time by the water:kayaking, swimming, and fishing. (I caught one! But dont worry, we threw all of the fish back). In the afternoons my boyfriend, ben, and I ventured into the town square of milledgville where we explored and shopped! (ben was slightly less enthusiastic about the shopping part of our adventure). There were so many antique, vintage, and eclectic shops that we ventured into. I loved the people I met, the items I found, and the overall atmosphere of this sleepy southern town. Its in a wonderful location in GA as well! less than 100 miles from north augusta and athens! i hope to visit again soon, and highly recommend a visit! Though maybe pick a cooler months than august--that Georgia heat is no joke--and thats coming from a south carolina girl!!
Below are the highlights of my time in Milledgeville and lake sinclair:
